Subodh Foundation UK Sponsors Nationwide School Quiz Initiative 2023

22nd September 2023 - A three-day event bringing together students from 25 schools across four municipalities where Subodh Foundation UK sponsored the Inter-Secondary School Lions Quiz Competition 2023.

Subodh Foundation UK proudly sponsored the Inter-Secondary School Lions Quiz Competition 2023, a three-day educational event held on 19th, 21st, and 22nd September 2023. The programme was jointly organised by Lions Club Kathmandu Downtown and Lions Club Tarkeshwor Downtown, with the support of 22 Lions Clubs and the municipalities of Tokha, Budhanilkantha, Tarkeshwor, and Nagarjun. Bringing together 25 secondary schools, the competition was broadcast live on Kasthamandap TV Gold HD, providing nationwide visibility to participating students and institutions.

SFDN-UK contributed a total of NPR 175,000, covering all prize amounts: NPR 100,000 for the first-place winner (Futung Secondary School), NPR 50,000 for the second-place winner (Noulin Secondary School), and NPR 25,000 for the third-place winner (Manmaiju Secondary School). The Foundation supported this initiative to promote academic excellence, encourage critical thinking, and strengthen secondary-level education across Nepal.

The active involvement of teachers, students, municipal representatives, and members of the Lions community made the programme a meaningful celebration of learning and collaboration. Building on the success of this event, Subodh Foundation aims to expand its educational support by organising Inter-District Quiz Competitions, introducing additional awards and scholarships, and enhancing opportunities in STEM, technical, and vocational education. Through these ongoing efforts, the Foundation remains committed to contributing to the advancement of Nepal’s education sector and supporting future generations of learners.
