Subodh Foundation Sponsors Musical Event

3rd Dec 2025 - Subodh Foundation U.K. introduces a new collection of bhajans and patriotic songs, promotes youth creativity and positive thinking, and announces expanded scholarship initiatives

A launch ceremony for “Subodhka Geetharu,” a collection of songs including several bhajans and patriotic songs prepared under the initiative of Subodh Foundation U.K., was held on Wednesday at Universal Engineering and Science College, Chakupat, Lalitpur. The Foundation released the YouTube channel and the songs with the aim of encouraging the younger generation toward creative writing, inspiration, and positive thinking. All the released songs have been composed by senior music composer Bhupendra Rayamajhi.

The diary (book) was formally unveiled in the presence of the chief guest, senior music composer Prof. Deepak Jangam, along with distinguished guests Keshav Raj Rajbhandari and Mukunda Prasad Timilsina. Senior singer Gyanu Rana was also present as an honorary guest. The event was successfully and gracefully conducted by popular singer and media personality Kapil Kaspal.

The ceremony featured musical performances of bhajans and patriotic songs written by lyricist Subodh Timilsina. These songs were beautifully rendered by renowned senior singer Gyanu Rana, senior singer Bijay Narayan Manandhar, singer Subash Mandal, singer Kamal Bishta, child singer Saanvi Yadav, and several other artists, captivating the audience with their melodious voices. Senior singer Gyanu Rana further moved the audience emotionally by performing some of her classic songs.

Speaking at the event, chief guest Prof. Jangam encouraged the youth to embrace creativity, emphasizing that writing and music are important foundations for a nation’s prosperity. He praised lyricist Subodh Timilsina for contributing to Nepali music even while living in the United Kingdom. Distinguished guest and former Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, as well as former Election Commissioner, Keshav Raj Rajbhandari, also expressed his appreciation for lyricist and engineer Subodh.

Another distinguished guest, successful entrepreneur Mukunda Prasad Timilsina, commended the Foundation’s efforts to guide the youth toward a positive path through literary and cultural productions. He also expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the event. The Foundation's chairperson and lyricist, Engineer Subodh Timilsina, stated that his songs and bhajans are meant to inspire young people toward discipline, regular writing, and keeping personal records of their life journeys.

He further explained that the Foundation has been supporting talented students in the engineering field through social scholarships and that the process of signing an agreement with Pulchowk Engineering Campus is currently underway. He also mentioned plans to provide scholarships at international universities around the world. He made a heartfelt request for everyone to support the “Subodhka Geetharu” YouTube channel.

Artists and creators were honored with tokens of love during the event. The program saw the participation of senior lyricist Pramod Dhungana, senior media person Hem Subedi, senior lyricist Gopi Krishna Thapa, senior journalist Prakash Gambhir Singh Rayamajhi, singer Sharad Pokharel, singer Ritu Kadel, singer Sangita Adhikari, along with numerous artists, students, social workers, and invited guests.
